The side burner will be set up for NG as well. The side burner valve is a continuous valve IIRC so making it compatible to LP is easy if you find an LP orifice. Another observation. The side burner(s) on these grills are such low BTU and because of the continuous valve you can simply give it a go on LP. You will have pretty high output on high, but it does throttle down pretty easily from there. IIRC the spec on the side burner is only about 7 or 8k btu so if you take a NG one and run it on LP on high it will be about 10 to 12k on high. Enough to maybe run a small wok
