Rotisserie Ring Specs

I have a pizza ring for my 22” Kettle and want to modify it to use as a rotisserie ring. I am going to cover the pizza opening with a removable cover but I need the size and positions of the rotisserie spit rod hole and slot. If someone could provide these I would appreciate it.
Thanks. Richard.

Richard, I have the Cajun Bandit ring. I can pull it out this weekend, measure it for you and take some pictures, if you like.

I can provide CB dims later this evening.

What type of roti mounting bracket will you be using?

What size spit rod bushing will you be using? That will determine the slot width.

J and RJ, thanks for replying and I hope one of you can help me. No rush. I have three rotisseries and I don’t know which one I will use yet. If I have the distance from the top to the centre of the spit rod hole (not the slot) I should be good. I can use a step bit to make the hole fit whatever rod/bushing I use and just align the motor brackets to the hole. A hole on the opposite side in the same place with the top cut out to make the slot. Let me know if you see anything wrong with this plan. Wouldn’t be the first time I missed something in the thought process. 😆

Thanks, Richard.

Clearance hole for spit rod 7/8” (.875)

Dimension from top edge of roti riser to OD of 7/8” (.875) hole is .555

Center line of 7/8” hole to top riser is .992
(R.437+ .555 =.992)

One inch (1.00) would be good to CL of roti rod thru hole on motor mount side of riser.

Your plan looks good, I don’t see any issues.
Let me know if you need more info

RJ, thank you very much! That should be all I need. Now, if it will just warm up above freezing. My drill press is in my unheated shed so it might be awhile before I get to put things together.

J, thanks for your offer too! It is Great that so many people on here are so willing to help. 🙂
