Restore tool hanger metal

I bought a 7 year old Summit which I hope to clean up so it can last some 5+ years.

One of the parts is purely cosmetical, but the tool hangers and the door handles all looks "blistered". I'm not sure how to handle this small fix but I thought about sanding them and then paint it with silver metal paint. Is there a better way to make them look better and perhaps stay better for the next few years?

Welcome Morten, I would say either try to buy replacement pieces or sand them down and repaint. Once the chrome finish is compromised there isn't much else you can do unless you can find someplace that does rechroming work.

Thank you, Kelly and Steve! I'm not sure my choice of hammered silver metal point was the right colour, but it was much easier than I thought to sand it and paint the parts. Here's the finished result:
