I love the dark wood on those grills. Is that new wood or refinished old wood?

Another redhead given a wonderful new life. I am interested in the story on the wood, too. The grain and color are nice changes of pace from the more common light color slats. Great job on that one!

Great job on this. I am saving some redwood lumber from one of the redwoods we had to cut on my property and going to mill it into some slats for my keepers. The wood on this looks really nice.

Joseph, thank you for the awesome Genesis 1000 red head grill. The craftsmanship you put into restoring this grill is fantastic. I will cherish this grill for a long time. Last night, family came to visit and were blown away when they saw the grill. They all remember my first weber grill and how much I loved it. Good times, great memories. Keep restoring grills, you are great at it.

Grill worked flawlessly last night, within 10 minutes it was up to almost 600 degrees. I only made turkey burgers but was impressed how even the temperature was across the grill.

Thank you for the kind words and enjoy it !

Joe, the grill is still looking good after many cooks. I recently switched from the stainless cooking grates to cast iron. Just a preference, I always liked the stainless but my last weber had cast iron and I got accustomed to them. They look great on the grill too! One of my first purchases after getting the grill was a rotisserie. It gets a lot of use.

I just refurbished a Genises Gold for another one of my sons, it was not that big of a job but very time consuming. I can only imagine how much work you must have put into restoring my grill.

You working on another grill? :D 171149233_4826358314059785_8813379469282463122_n.jpg

Amazing work. With all the time and things we face doing a little grill, I would not want to imagine people that restore classic cars?
