I heard about these gloves on KCBS radio/San Francisco the other day in a food segment by Narsai David. They are heat resistant to 500*F, fit either hand, and can be cleaned in the dishwasher or washing machine. Narsai raved about them and said it took a really long time before he felt any heat inside these gloves.

They're pricy at $19 per glove, but if they hold up well and the price comes down as they become more popular or as competing products become available, I'm thinking that silicone gloves may be a good alternative to neoprene gloves for handling large pieces of barbecue meat However, they're not much when it comes to dexterity, so might not be good for a task like pulling pork.
