Orange wood smoked chicken thighs.

Just a simple Sunday dinner. I picked up some thighs from the store, fired up the Weber, and used some orange wood for smoke. It took about 45 minutes for the thighs to be fully cooked. The Orange smelled really good, gave the chicken thigh a nice flavor too.

Orange wood and chicken thighs.

Grill setup. Wood chips on the coals.

Thighs on.

Chicken is about done.

Another view.

Plated pic, with fresh sauté spinach. thanks for looking :).

Very nice Michael...
Have to try the orange wood.. Redlands and Riverside have many orchards and some sell wood.

Very nice. I used Orange wood before when I trimed my orange tree in my old place. Love the smell and taste, all good.
Thank you for sharing.

Looks good! Orange gives it that dark color?

I believe it does. A friend of mine from So. California sent me some, and I got very dark color when I used it on chicken. Actually, it's stronger than your basic apple or cherry IMO. Nice cook Michael!

Well Michael, you musta been eetin' alone with only 4 thighs there, i'd inhale those guys in 1 minute 53 seconds flat.
