NIB 1992 Weber Genesis Manifold Question

I recently had the pleasure of buying a brand new-old-stock 1992 Weber Genesis 2300 LP that had never been assembled!

I noticed the manifold has the following connection instead of a standard propane fitting and wondered if I’m missing an adapter or quick connect fitting. Thoughts on what this is and what my options are?

Larry and Bruce already answered your question, but I would really like to see some pictures of that grill!

Thanks guys for the quick answers, I really appreciate it! I figured it was a quick change that I would have to make.

You are in luck because I built it last Fall at the cottage. Our original 1988 Genesis 2 (on the left in some pics) will go into restoration this summer. It will be my 40th restoration. Mostly do it for fun and to ensure my friends get an awesome BBQ!

I had one like that. Identical. It's definitely pre 93 because my dad bought a brand new 2000 in 1993 and it has casters. My original did not have the quick connect. It had the original POL fitting. And I bought it as a "leftover" new old stock in late 92 IIRC. Not sure when the durawood replaced the cedar slats. But yours is a Genesis 2. They did not get 2000 named until the casters appeared. Still a very nice piece to have there

Yep, both of those grills seem to predate the 1000-5000 Generation of Genesis grills.

Where is the lid thermometer on the new grill?
