My Comals and Wok Setup

Some people were asking about my carbon steel comals and my wok set up.

Here are my small one and large one. I like the smaller one because I can move it around if my coals get too hot. I use them mostly for burgers and when I grill fish.

Here is my burner that I use for my wok. The ring on the burner is for a discada but I hardly ever use it. The wok I use is made of carbon steel also and is a round bottom one.

Any other questions , just ask.

your comal looks real different from tony R's (?) his has the high dome in the middle. i might have to look into one of those small ones for my smoky joe. thanks for sharing.

I am not sure but comal is used for a lot of things. This came with my burner and its called a comal too.

That wok burner looks just like the one my Asian Market sells. You have to build a rig to put it in and figure out how to plumb it with fuel, but the burner itself is that big they sell. I bet you can get a wok ripping hot no doubt with yours. Love the setup, I'm super jealous!

I ordered a 22" Stainless Steel Dr. Cook Comal today $57 and am picking up a 22.5" One-Touch Silver from Home Depot $107 total cost $164

My son saw Tony's in the thread below, showed it to my wife and she said "you need to get that, your son and I can put it to good use."
