Lid colors

I call the lid on top "hunter green". I have seen it called "forest green". I don't know what Weber calls it officially, but it is a green variation.

The lid on the bottom is what I originally thought was green, but after getting Cody's opinion and looking at if cleaned up and compared to the green lid, it is clearly more of a gray version. Cody called it Mica Black. I guess Mica would be a reasonable name, but black??? Nah. It is some variation of gray in my color blind eyes.

What are the opinions out there?

Really???? Not what I expected. Clearly they are two different "colors". So you are saying they are just different shades of green?

That lid didn't come with that grill. I think it had a black lid when it was born. The top lid is actually a Silver A lid as well. And I think that frame is a later model Silver B. It has the bracket for the tank hanger built in and it was a cabinet grill as well. In all reality, that grill probably has parts from 4 or 5 different grill on it.

It doesn't look like a mica. Id guess just a different run of green. Id just call it a green lid in the listing. Or just let the pictures do the talking and not mention what color the lid is.

I think I've got two lids that are different shades of green also.

edit: digging through pics I think one was a later Silver B, and the other a Silver C.

Sadly trying to judge colors like this is tough. Different cameras shoot with varying degrees of compensations, posting the photos changes the color profile as well, individual computer screen calibrations vary as well
