Went on a mission for some fire wood. There is a hidden gem next door and right before San Francisco. Lazzari’s “head quarters” in Brisbane.

Prices are great and if you want some of their Mesquite charcoal you can’t beat it.
I picked up some Cherry and Oak fire wood with a few other items while I was there. Neat place. If your close you should check it out.

I used to buy there 500lbs at a time when I had my ceramic Kamado, and only burned lump. Loved their hardwood lump (though I did find a few odd "freebies" in the occasional bag!) Haven't been there in ages, but glad to hear they are still going strong.

BTW, if you need a lump of coal for someone's stocking, you can get that there, too (yes, I've done it.) :)

Bruno, Great post I use this stuff all of the time. What do they get for the 20lb bag and 40lb bag ?
I used to buy the 40 pound bags and they were really cheap. I took a picture of the pricing board but a door was blocking the charcoal. Next time I go I’ll look.
it’s a cool place for sure, I’m going to light a fire later with that cherry.

Bruno, Thanks for sharing. I use Lazzari when cooking pork butt and it imparts a special flavor like no other lump. Last time I found it on sale for I believe $19.00 for 40lbs so I cleared the shelf.

Used to get Madrone and coal for the fireplace from them back in the mid '80s before we escaped from SF. Great people to deal with.
