The Ribs tasted exquisite !
They were done with the 3-2-1 method. Second step with apple juice. This fits perfect to the applewood chunks in the charcoal. I think apple fits best to pork especially to Ribs.
Those ribs and that meal look outstanding Jan, it fits in with the part of the world you live in, been there many times and think it is one of the truly wonderful places of this planet.

Yes indeed it is a nice place! Think of all the breweries and different sorts of beer.
But the German in general just grill. BBQ heaven is still USA !
