Just Scored a Performer Platinum for $130...

Oh, and a hello. First post, but I've been lurking for a couple of months. Been cooking on a big Char Broil Commercial gas grill. I love it for high heat grilling, but have never been completely happy with my slow and low cooks.

Picked up my 22.5 WSM a couple of months ago, then stumbled upon this site and the mini WSM builds. So I built one of those too. I knew I wanted a kettle to go along with the Gasser, and have been watching CL like a hawk with no luck. Then I found a Performer Platinum at a local as is/discount home improvement store. They were asking 180, and i walked out the door with it for 130. The kettle has been gently used, but I don't think the gas assist was ever used.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I did use the Performer today, but it was just hamburgers and hot dogs for my daughters birthday. The gas assist worked great even with the high winds today. I already love this thing!
