Just for Fun

Almost 3 weeks into my unexpected sabbatical I’m a wee bit bored 😳
Usually smoke on a charcoal cooker but today I’m playing around.
smoking a rack of ribs on my recently conventional to NG Genesis ( another boredom project)
A smoking tube with Apple pellets, placed in an unlit grill with a rack of frozen ribs.
going to let smoke 3 hours then season & cook on low.

Came out great.
smoked taste just about the same as charcoal/wood.
With no smoke ring appearance not quite as attractive

What was the total time required? Looks like a reasonable alternative when you want ribs but don't have any thawed racks on hand.

Total time about the same as over charcoal, 4-6 hours.
I’ve thrown frozen ribs on the smoker before , just season part way through cook ,adds about an hour .
