Injection timing question

OK, this is my first time injecting pork butt. I have 2 10-pounders and I'm planning to put them on the smoker late tomorrow night, but will likely have my hands full with some other things. Would it be safe to inject them tonight so that all I'll need to do tomorrow is apply the rub before putting them on? I've brined and marinated meets plenty of times, but never done an injection. I imagine that as long as they stay refrigerated, they should be OK, but I'm not sure.

Thanks! I figured they would and did the injecting last night. In the process, I found that the "professional" grade injector I bought may not actually be "professional" grade. The o-rings on the plunger seem a but undersized since a good amount of the liquid was slipping past them, which made a big mess when getting the last bit of liquid out. I got more injection all over the counter than in the meat, I think. But, they're happily sitting and marinating internally until it's time to rub & smoke:
