Yeah I just have to figure out how to reset it and set it up. I'll get it figured out.I thought this model did not have a "connect" feature. Cool if it does

Ask a 12 year old.I only had one issue and I couldn't figure out how to get my phone to connect to the Ninja FlexFlame pro connect app to test that out but I'll get it figured out.

Smoked carp? Is that a thing?Dang, I would love some smoked salmon right now. Even smoked Carp.
Just for me and my needs I have several different grills I'm currently using for different things on a daily basis and this grill will potentially fill a gap that I have been looking to fill at least for now. I have my eye out for a Yoder and other possible grills that are in consideration. That could potentially bump this one but for now it's abilities are a welcome in my line-up. Hard to tell for sure untill I do more testing with this grill a others in the future. I'm in no hurry for anything but I'm enjoying the experience.Smoked carp? Is that a thing?
Nice pickup, @Josh Dekubber - looking forward to your reviews. I can say this would probably never be in my desires to own, but looks like it could be a nice little unit!
Oh yah, best smoked fish I ever ate was Carp. I have had salmon and a couple others, but I haven't seen carp since the one time I ate it.Smoked carp? Is that a thing?

I was today years old when I first learned of smoked carp. I’d try it. I caught a lot of carp in my day fishing with my grandpa in the Wisconsin River! Fond memories revisited.Oh yah, best smoked fish I ever ate was Carp. I have had salmon and a couple others, but I haven't seen carp since the one time I ate it.
Overall pretty good condition with the exception of small cosmetic damage on the corner of the right side table. I could replace the plastic end cap for $20 and straighten out the SS that would mostly cover with the new cap or I could replace the right side SS table which comes with a new end cap for $120. Im going to use it a bit before I decide. 9mm SS grates aren't on sale for it so I'll wait and think on that also. I did order a bi-fold SS warming rack for it though that I plan to use for my next batch of smoked Salmon soon. The inside looks barely used. The burners look excellent.

Nice! It looks like you would be fine with just the $20 plastic cap and straighten out the SS corner. I think that table would look really clean once you did a little work on it. Amazing condition for the whole piece! Looks like with the rack you have a lot of capability for smoking and even convection baking.Overall pretty good condition with the exception of small cosmetic damage on the corner of the right side table. I'm optimistic after running it today but time will tell. I can argue some times that less is more and I do appreciate the simplicity of some of my vintage grills but there is also something to be said for new technology on gas grills for some applications that require more precision. I'm surprised more gas grills don't utilize similar tech as the Ninja WoodFire FlexFlame Pro Connect smart grill featuring electronically controlled modulating burners that automatically adjust gas flow to maintain precise, user-selected temperatures. Unlike traditional manual gas grills, the FlexFlame uses a digital control knob to manage heat and a convection fan for even cooking.Nice! That makes sense. I can definitely see some Weber influence with the burners and flavorizer bars and other details here and there. That is promising knowing your friend from Classic Weber origins had a hand in the production of this grill. My buddy that gave me the Jack Daniels grill, and used to work for Weber, was hired by Ninja as a consultant to help develop this grill. You'll notice the layout of the gas burners looks sort of familiar to anyone with an older Weber gas grill. That was one of his contributions. I nearly got one of these from Home Depot for product testing when they first came out, but I was a little slow on picking it and just missed out. I think I got a patio set instead.
Like you, I would probably be more concerned about all the electronics on the Ninja grill. That makes sense. The reality is my grills that are 30-50+years old and going strong is never going to happen for any modern grills. Times have changed so the trade offs need to be worthwhile to each individual user. Personally I can embrace some tech knowing the sacrifices that come with it. I can accept the good with the bad. I don't look at modern grills in the same way I do my vintage grills. My vintage grills are worth a lot to me and I admire and respect there origins. They have a place with me for the long haul.Like you, I would probably be more concerned about all the electronics on the Ninja grill.
