Help with non traditional tamales

Greetings, and Merry Christmas to all!

I want to make a BUNCH of tamales for Christmas, but I want to do it different (read:easier).
I want to use Pulled Pork BBQ, Red Sauce from a jar or can to mix with the meat.
Masa para Tamales with lard instead of the stock from boiling the meat, plus spices.

Your comments are welcome, and I could really use suggestions for the Red Sauce. Don't want to boil dried peppers.
I have to feed 2 adults and 4 kids. The kids don't all like spicy.

I've read the Kevin Kruger thread, but as much as I like and respect him, that's just not what I'm looking for.

Lest's talk!

Pulled pork BBQ, why not try BBQ sauce instead of a chili sauce. Use something a little sweet, or sweet with a little heat.

Were you thinking about the traditional method at all? I've watched dozens of videos on YouTube, and they were all very labor-intensive.
"I ain't like that"

My Bro is the tamale expert, his MIL taught him well. Yea they are a lota of work, but if you get a good flow with a few helpers it aint that bad.
