As a Weber charcoal grill enthusiast I am happy to have come across this forum and i am learning so much.

My question is i am building a dual grilling table for a friend out of wood and i am curious if Weber makes a protective ring to keep the wood from burning? I have a 1 1/4" air gap which from my research seems to be more then enough gap. Just curious if there is some suggestions here on what may be available. Thank you in advance and thank you for letting me be apart of the group.

Heres a couple photos

J, repost this in the “Weber charcoal kettle grill” section of the forum. There are people over there that have made the double kettle tables.

Weber does not make any type of ring.
Unknown BBQ makes some brackets you can use to attach to the table. I think you'll be fine with that air gap

I think you will be just fine! Mine is “Stock” performer distance from my 22” the other is almost the same distance and I used 4” corner brackets on the 18 when I built it maybe 4 years ago now. No issues.
Like I said, I think you should be fine, I like the “steampunk” look of the pipe flanges!
You will have lots of inspiration for some really well thought out projects, maybe more than you might want but, they are all cool!
Yes, welcome aboard from Kalamazoo!

Yep I agree nice table and the air gap is fine.
If you want to cover the end grain on the circle you could use some 1 1/2" Aluminum flat Stock.
It bends pretty easy and that's what I used on my table.
