Has anyone tried a LED lighted knobs conversion on a Genesis II? Like the LX or S-345

Hello,

So this is my 2nd post after introducing me.

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to "pimp" his grill? I'm thinking about adding the LED lighted knobs that you find on the LX series and as I just discovered the special version S-345 too.

From my understanding all you need is the light button, the led harness, the LX specific knobs with the translucent plastic parts and the dedicated battery holder. Does this seem right to you or am I missing something?

I know it's of no use, but I just kinda like the look it gives and wanna try it.

Has anyone tried this? Any feedback or tips? Or better an "how to" guide?

Can’t say I know anything about it, but what you described seems straightforward. I am sure Weber minimized the differences between the regular and LX versions for manufacturing simplicity, so if you can get the needed parts I can’t see why it won’t work. If you don’t have an LX registered with them, I doubt Weber will sell you the parts. Probably other suppliers online could help you.
