Grilled Three Legged Turkey

In actuality it is 3 turkey legs and wings. They came in packages of three so I decided to just
grill them all. I hadn’t really planned on cooking anything for the next few days, but our trip to
Virginia ran into some snags so we are staying home. So, I injected the legs and wings with
Tony Chachere’s Honey Bacon. Seasoned with Montreal Steak seasoning (really like this stuff!)
and garlic pepper.

Put onto a 350 degree Performer, using RO lump and a chunk of apple wood.

Sauced with Guy Fieri Kansas City Smokey and Sweet then after the sauce set they were pulled
at internal temp of 175.

Plated with leftover scalloped potatoes, rice and broccoli salad.

Turkey was juicy and tender with a slight honey and bacon flavor from the injection. Will be
doing them this way again.

Thanks for looking!

The turkey and sides look amazing, Mike! Spectacular photos! You still using the 40mm micro?

one thing I've noticed Mike, when I cook/grill/smoke turkey legs and/or wings...
the sides do not get touched until AFTER the bones are bare.
Your sides, however, look soo daggum good i'd start with those scalluppped eetemup potatoes...
then ring'emup rice&broccoli sing-me-a-song salad!Yessirrie!
Ahem...

Then i'd dig into them legs and flappers.

Nice Mike, Very Nice!
