Grilled Mango

The wife left town for a couple days and left me some Chicken in a mystery marinade for when I got home from work. So I rummaged through the fridge to find some suitable sides. It was slim pick'ins. But there was a nice rip Mango. So a quick internet search later and this is what I came up with. I really enjoyed it and thought I'd share.

Cut the two halves off and cut them in a checkered pattern being careful not to cut the skin:

Pop them out:

A little chili powder and salt

On the grill with the mystery chicken:

Lastly, I sprinkled it with some fresh lime juice and added some steamed broccoli and it turned out to be a pretty good meal. Thanks for looking.

It was a lot like grilled pineapple. Warm and juicy. I can definitely see myself doing this again.
