Hi, I am looking at a genesis gold but he wants $300 CDN about 220 US and then there is a Silver for the same price though I like the enamel top. The gold looks like it has SS inside so that is a bonus. downside might be the cabinet as it does not show well in pictures but no rust that I can see. any reccomendations?

I will throw a spirit in the mix

All 3 look good for their age. They look like they were well taken care of.

I don't know about prices in your area.

I would rank them like this:

1. The Gold
2. The Silver
3. The Spirit

I noticed they are all Natural Gas. So I assume that is want you want. Conversion to propane is costly.

I would go with the Gold. More bang for the $$$$
I will second that. Interior looks great and it looks like it has high quality grates. Plus side burner. Also the frames on these closed cabinet grills are about 2.5" higher. So if you are a tall person that is a plus.
The Spirit is just a watered down version of the SilverB. Same grill but no foldup tables. I love the foldup tables since they provide additional countertop space.

Contrarian here. I like the porcelain enamel lids better than the SS lids. Almost no one uses their side burner. Go with the Silver.

All prices seem to be on the higher side than what I was seeing last week platinums going for $50, $75 and $100 in good shape. Silvers from $145 down to $50. All seemed good and sold relatively fast. Platinum's in hours.

The gold looks good so I'd get that and take care of the cabinet, it doesn't look too bad. If you get it then clean up the cabinet then coat with some POR 15 or Eastwood.
