Genesis SS, spark, but no light

This has been an ongoing issue for over a year, just too lazy to tackle it.

SS Genesis with 3 front controls. I had the front panel off for some other maintenance and I tested the igniter. It worked perfect on all 3 burners. I buttoned every thing up and it sparks, but no light !

I am lost ! Where do I go from here ?

I am assuming it lights and burns properly when lit with a stick lighter. If so I am going to follow this thread because thats puzzling and i would like to know what the problem is.

I believe those burners each have their own igniter electrode. If so, they should slide onto a bracket on the burners. Try sliding each of them forward on the bracket about 1/8 inch or so.

Well, I assumed if it sparked it was good. New battery and Shazam ! I'll have to remember to change the battery more often !!
