Since Weber refused to make a bright red Genesis for the last 20 years,
I made my own. Huge thanks to Jeff at Independence Porcelain Enamel
for the gorgeous tomato red lid work.

This will be my new daily cooker next year. I finally made one that
intend to keep. :D

Wow, Dave! All the way around a very cool idea beautifully executed. You are way ahead of my idea for that. I am just aiming for a crimson or maybe brick red sidewinder that I will call the “last redhead.” Yours is far in advance of that with a TRUE red hood and doors. I also like that you used classic black as your firebox and trim color, just like the earlier Genesis grills. That one would be really hard to top.

I have toyed with this idea before for flips,
but never actually pulled the trigger. When
I saw the brand new Genesis Smart Series had
gone back to that, I really like it and decided
I would try it out on this. I also consider leaving
the doors black ...

or possibly even going with the stainless door
(no pic) , but opted to go with the matching
red doors.

Yah, wow, that first picture really popped when I saw it. It almost startled me. I guess I never really realized that Weber had not made a "Weber Red" E3xx grill. That is stunning.

the matching red doors look fantastic with the red hood.

I definitely like them better red than black.

What red paint did you use for the doors, and for the knobs?
