Genesis 1000 flip table bracket hardware

I am missing the end bracket that holds the flip table hinge rod on my new-to-me Genesis 1000. Does anyone reproduce this part or is there a common fix?

My Genesis 2 has a small sheet metal bracket screwed to the frame for this. The Genesis 1000 does not appear to have a hole drilled in the frame for this screw. The plastic end cap is also missing. So I think Weber changed bracket styles somewhere.

Specifically I need this. Is there a DIY solution?

Yes, that end cap has a drop down with a hole in it for the pivot rod. I think you can source them on line. Not sure though.

So I haven't stacked ammunition on my shelf, but it seems study enough and it certainly works. I'm happy with it!

Just don't stack the ammo there with the grill on,
