I have had a Flame boss 400 and for 6 years its been great. It’s on a Weber Smokey Mountain. Only issue is it blows a channel in the coals and it’s sometimes hard to get a higher temp.
Anyway, I haven't used it in a while and last weekend it would not connect. Read so many posts about how lately this is common for people, especially on Holidays. Its really stressful when your fire is going and this device you are counting on is not working. Its like when you cant get the monitor to show your powerpoint during a business meeting type of stress.
Contacted the company and they got it back online. Had to leave a ticket and they wrote back and I called the phone after I got the email and someone picked up.
Looks like they posted an app update that resolve a lot of things (even though I was using the current app) and they said if the app fails use www.myflamboss.com and it will work (haven't tried)
Is this company still viable and supporting its products? I hope so. Just wondering if they are going under or about to . I think for the money, it was one of the better choices.
