Hi I am just doing my first smoke. The beginners chicken recipe. I doesn't say what the temp is meant to be. Any ideas it's been in for half an hour was sitting at 130 now at 150. Smoke only started coming out about 10 minutes ago. Is that ok

If it's the one I'm thinking of, I think you're just supposed to leave all the vents open & let it rip without watching the temperature. How'd it turn out?
Depending on how hot your WSM is/was, two hours isn't abnormal for a whole chicken to reach 165. I did a whole chicken at almost 350 and it took nearly 2 hours to reach 165 degrees. It was a pretty big bird though
