First High Heat Babyback Ribs

Kroger had babybacks "BOGO," and the dude in front of me left two. I snagged both. Sorry if you came later.

Cooked one with Jim's high heat method. Chimney full of lit KBB poured behind fire bricks. Added some hickory and cherry wood. Flipped ribs after 30 minutes, and again 30 later. Dabbed with a little fruit juice along the way. Wrapped for 30, then removed from foil. Sauced with No. 5 and gave each side 5 minutes to set the sauce. Meat was on the kettle from 5:15 until 7:35 total.

They were pretty good. Decent tenderness. Good flavor.

Good results for babybacks. I'd do it again for sure.

Rubbed with Stanley's Rib Rub. (East Texas place known for pork ribs)

Excellent looking ribs Chris. Glad you were able to snag the last two racks. I'm usually the guy that shows up 3 minutes later.

Nice!
those ribs look really good would you say they are fall of the bone tender?
my experience in doing high heat bb ribs, you gotta foil them longer than ½ hour...
and to achieve fall off bone, high heat is not the best option.
