Easy burgers and dogs for Easter!"ya right"

Howdy folks and happy Easter!! So I asked what folks wanted for Easter dinner a while back...brisket, ham, turkey??? Nope burgers and dogs...well I'm Norwegian/Irish so I don't know how to do anything easy!! Spent the morning removing the last of the Xmas lights and spraying down the deck and walk!

Made some capriese salad!

Then I took a 4 lb chuck roast and ground some burger!

Made patties(nothing but pure burger...no additives!)

Had a little time to kill so fired up the performer to clean things up..started a fire with some kingsford and used 3 bricks to keep the fire contained in the middle! Then Ollie and I got some ball time in while Gerti took her afternoon nap!

This dog is crazy when it comes to playing ball...crazy!!
Anyway made some cheese stuffed Nathan's beef dogs with thick sliced bacon!

Let the fire die down a bit and threw some apple on and added the dogs!

Dogs getting close so I opened the vents and added some cowboy lump to the fire and let it get fired up!

Once the dogs were done I threw the chuck burgers on with just S&P added!

A set of burgers chilling with cheese and crap I forgot the bacon..Gotta have that!!

All done and ready to eat!! Along with beans and tater salad!!

All in all great Easter dinner...dogs were great...burgers were off the chart!!

Chris this was almost the Perfect burger in my book...I forgot to mention..stuff held together like a champ..taste great..no oil, egg...no binder..only thing I would have added was some jalepeno's..other than that..perfect!!
 
Great choice for grinding Morgan. You can't beat the flavor that comes in a chuck roast. It really is all about the fat!
