And please don't say "Dinner and a Movie"!

A few days ago I stumbled across a narrative on the interweb that described the various versions of the early Genesis models. It gave a timeline of the changes, when new ideas were introduced, etc. I have searched high and low, but cannot locate it again. Can anyone help?

Second, my redhead has an 'ER' serial prefix. When I enter the serial number it kicks back an owner's manual for a 1998 G 1000, but it also thinks the grill is black. No idea if the part was changed at some point during the grill's life or if they all say black.

Last, any idea what wood they used on the tables? I've seen all manner of guesses. It's not Cedar nor teak. Could be Redwood, but if it is it's heartwood, not enough color. Anyone know for sure?
