Cowboy Charcoal

I saw "Cowboy Charcoal" at Menards for a good price. Like $3 - $4 a bag. So I bought a couple. It's Natural Lump Charcoal made with from Hickory, Oak & Maple. Has anyone every smoked with this? I'm giving it a try today.

I was just curious ... Would I still add a smoke wood? Like Apple or Cherry? Or does the Natural Lump Charcoal provide all the "smoke" flavor for you?
