Made it to the cottage, finally got a few drinks in and started to relax.
We stopped at the local bbq joint and had big brisket Sammie’s for a 2:00 lunch so not super hungry tonight. So I already have lots of food but not a huge cook tonight...so no food pics just bbq’ing a couple sausages up for a quick snack.
Here is a couple pics of the water and the MRS relaxing.
Local butcher is black angus, I have some treats waiting.

This is on the shore of Lake Ontario. North of course about directly north of Rochester N.Y.
We have almost perfect weather every time we get away for a week but they are calling for more rain than not this week......cloudy morning, I will get the sunrise tomorrow, it’s very nice from this location.
You make noticed the Weber propane in the pic but I have brought the junior with me too, this is good because if its going to rain a lot I need to hide from it. I have about 10 bbq meals for 2 and I ain’t missing out on it.
Also the new grill to break in too....

So, food for the week looks like things like steaks, ground beef, picanah, thighs, breast,
Angus ground beef, they had 2 different ones, I bought the more expensive ground. They call it brischuck. So instead of just ground chuck like normal this happens to incorporate ground brisket as well and is about 75 to 80 in the meat ratio to the fat...
It’s new to me so I though I would give it a shot because I could.
Sounds like tonight is the black angus and roasted potatoes, my kind of meal......I’m a meat and potato kind of guy.
Followed by possibly chicken thigh blt Sammie’s with chips, and hopefully Tuesday is the picanah roast with horsy sauce. Tacos apparently are going to make a showing once or twice this week too.
So nothing crazy, I don’t have tons of crazy ingredients to work with but some tasty jumbo joe meals in line.
Here is the 2 T bones I have for tonight.
It’s been a while since I had this black angus meat, it’s hard to explain but it has its own flavour, the cooked fat.....the grease I guess is what I am trying to say. My opinion is it is the best of the best.

For what is a pretty standard meal, last nights dinner was pretty darn tasty. Not going to lie, I prefer a meal like this over other meals that are too fancy. You may have noticed based on my history of pics.
T bone steaks which I rarely buy, mainly because a rib or strip are my go to’s.
Brown mushrooms with thick cut garlic and onions all fried together and roasted potatoes, a bit or cheddar and sour cream on the taters too.
Calling for poor weather for about 80% of the week, yesterday sure was nice and this morning is beautiful too.
A little coffee in the hot tub to watch the sun come up is a good start to the day.
Had to sneak the last pic in, she doesn’t like when I take pics of her in the hot tub apparently.

Just a couple more of this morning, it is so calm out, I don’t see it like this too often.
Tried to sneak another pic in of the wife.....she doesn’t like me taking pics of her first thing in the morning and I have no idea why.....;)
Will be checking the forecast soon and deciding what’s for dinner tonight.
Weather permitting I should be able to post at least 1 good pic of a meal each day.

Picanha was on the menu for tonight, but it’s frozen so sounds like tomorrow’s dinner.
Someone I take holidays with doesn’t eat big steak servings so someone has to take care of it the next still morning for breakfast.....🤪. That is too bad I guess, also a good reason why I don’t eat a lunch and just have breakfast and a good sized dinner.....hard to move after this one......holy cow.
So for tonight it’s bbq thigh Sammie’s and probably just potato chips.
Save the picanha and red beans and rice for tomorrow.

Thanks for checking my thread people.
There isn’t a ton left to post other than my dinners which I hope to be able to.
Nothing fancy, just going to be good tasting cottage bbq. Not a ton of fancy ingredients here so just satisfying treats.
Tonight should be good, we will see.
