Well, first of all, they don't belong a Silver B grill. Those were for a Genesis 1000-5000. They are tool holders.

I like the Dollar Store ones better that my wife installed on her grill. Easier to move.

Well the black thing is just to hide the gas hoses and stuff. Those silver things are tool hooks

Sorry I was distracted by the shiny objects. It is U-shaped on a similar vintage grill I am working on.

Probably like Larry said, hides the plumbing.

Also, I think it is a wind barrier.

They put those on the Genesis 1000 grills as well, but they only covered the front. Not much wind protection there, but that may be why they did the wrap around on the Genesis B.
