Billows Vent Question

Using the billows for the first time on my 22.5 WSM. Do I leave the top exhaust vent 1/8 open and close all the bottom vents? I have tape over 3 holes on the 1 vent I’m using the fan on. Shooting for a 275 cook temp.

Close all three bottom vents completely.

Regarding the top vent, the operating instructions say:

Start with the exhaust vent 1/8 of the way open. If the fire struggles to stay lit, adjust the exhaust vent to find the proper positioning for your smoker setup.

I think I ran mine in my 18.5" WSM at 1/4 open.
