80.00 dollars, what is it worth?

That depends on your viewpoint. As a practical matter this old, beat-up grill is probably not worth that. But, to a collector/historical nut like me there is a lot of special appeal. It still has its wide slats, oldest style wheels, black knobs and earliest control panel. Most important, perhaps, it also has the original metal fuel gauge you can see to the right of the right leg. So, if you really want to restore a very first edition of the Weber Genesis - a not very common find after 35 years - this would be a very good candidate to start out with. I would probably be very tempted if it were near me! Check out posts by Mark Siebel of some of these he has made look better than new.

Here is an early Weber ad for a similar grill:

I agree. I would try to get it if it was near me. I need one of those old control panels and some old style wheels for one of my restored grills.

I was lucky enough to find this gem this past weekend. Original cedar wood planks and no rust areas.

>> VINTAGE!!!! original 19" side swing table WITH--RARE--circular table support arm!!!!!!!! KEEP THAT IN PERSONAL COLL. FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree w/ Jon....YES!! $80 a bit high...BUT if all original parts are there (I've paid as much as $100 for 85-87' GEN.s) then...all good!! Vintage parts NO longer avail. OR to much of a pain to fabricate...its worth paying a bit more for....plus...any rusted frame support rods you can just swap out or do some rust prep work.....GREAT FIND!!!!!!!!!
