Any good BBQ places in Las Vegas?

Hi all,
I am heading to Las Vegas this weekend, and was wondering if there are any good BBQ places there, maybe where the 'locals" eat, of if there is a good one near the strip, that would be good too. I was just wondering of there are any BBQ places in Vegas. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I haven't eaten here, so take my recommendation with a grain of salt.

Mike Mills operates 17th street bar and grill in southern IL, and it is one of the best places I've been too. I stopped there on the way to Memphis and it beat out the places I visited there.

He has since opened 3 or 4 Memphis Championship bbq restaurants in Las Vegas. If the food is close to his Illinois place, it would definitely be worth a stop.

While I've been to Vegas several times, I never really thought about looking for bbq there.

Michael,

Here is a recent thread with a couple more ideas. If you'll note in the thread, the wife and I are going there in May. Soooo,,,,,,If you do visit some sort of BBQ place, could you report back here with your impressions???

Thanks guys, for your quick response. I printed out the maps for the Memphis BBQ place. I will have to check it out. Hmmmmm, Kobe burger. I never had Kobe beef before. I think I will have to swing by the Mirage too. I gotta try that Kobe Burger. Thanks again for the great tips!!!!!

Definetly Memphis BBQ

I have gone there several times whenever I am in Vegas. It's always greatQ!

I believe Paul Kirk opened a new Q joint there in the past year or so...similar to the one he has in NY...can't remember the name.

RUB in Vegas is at Rio. Don't know anyone who's been impressed by it. MCB is passable -- but I'm not one who's very easily impressed by commercial places.

If you are on the old strip and looking for a great dinner, try Triple George Grill, 201 N. 3rd St., a block north of Fremont St. Excellent food and service!

I know this is a little late for the OP

But maybe it can help somebody else out in the future.

I have heard some pretty good things about Ellis Island Casino & Brewery from a couple friends. I have no Idea how the ribs and chicken are prepared, my guess is not smoked but I haven't a clue.

It's tough to beat their prices it looks like. Available only in their Brewery Patio.

The location and casino itself leaves much to be desired I'm told (we like those kinna places tho) but my friends never go out to Vegas without going there at least once. I wish we would of made it over there when we were out in late march for the bowling tournament but we ran out of time.

Has anybody been here? thoughts?
