hey y'all, cornbred again from flagstaff. just tossed on a ten pound brisketttt and expecting lows in the low 40's. has anyone done any tests on smoking under patio covers or certain distances from the house for temp. control. just a thought. thank you all for being my support group... and for those who have never heard a Bull Elk Bugle yer missing out!!!

You shouldn't have any problem as long as there is some airflow under the patio cover. Hopefully it doesn't blow toward your back door

You'll be fine. I have had to pull my WSM around to the garage several times due to inclimate weather. I put it as close to the outside as I can with out it getting totally rained on. I also have a Colman camping table that I put a box fan on. I'll put it in fron of the smoker, put something under the fan so it tilts up a little, and turn it on o it blows most of the initial white smoke out side.
