When you can't get enough of the grill...start your day grilling bacon and sausage.

Breakfast sausage patties will grill just fine at 350-375.
Bacon cooks perfectly in a cast iron skillet right beside the sausage,

For the perfect flavoring add smoke, in this case I used pecan shells.
With the pecan shells on the left burner, just turn it to high to get the smoke flowing.
I cooked the bacon in a cast iron skillet in the middle, burner set on low and finally, the sausage went directly on the grill on the right burner also on low.

They cooked about 20-25 minutes. Bacon was extra crispy as it both fried and baked. Sausage had a terrific grilled flavor.

No mess in the kitchen, fresh air, smoke, time with the dog and no instructions from anyone.... Great way to start the day.

Barb and I love to make breakfast on the little griddle on one of our grills. Although I do like it more in the summer than the winter, but still don't do it as often as I would like too.
