Genesis ii gbs grill grate

Bought a new weber genesis ii e-335 partly so i could use my wok, griddle and pizza stone from my weber 22" kettle.

I have not been able to find a gourmet bbq system grill grate for the new genessis ii 300 series gas grill.

I know they make them as there is a version sold in europe under the genesis ii sp-3335 gbs badging that has the gbs grate with the hole in the middle for the genesis ii.

Here is a website showing the Genesis II with the GBS grate:

Does anyone know where i can buy one of these grates? Weber should be all over this and have the GBS grate available widely for their Genesis II series.

Yeah, at the Weber company store in Germany:eek:...

This one is even better because the GBS is centered over the sear burner.

The GBS system never picked up in the US and Weber discontinued it for the Genesis in the US market. You would need to import it from Europe as Jon outlined above.

Since they obviously make the grates, I don't see why they wouldn't have them available in the US. Even it is just a select few distributors/retailers.

I know nothing about the 335 but do these fit?

Those would fit the Genesis E3xx grills from the previous generation of Genesis grills. I think the Genesis II cookbox is an entirely different size.

I wish it would be like this. Same for colored Smokey Joey, stainless steel 22” GBS grates, hinged lid for the 22” kettle and more ... all of these are only available in Europe.

I suppose Weber has their reasons, but I would love to hear from a top executive exactly what that reason is....the real reason and not the one designed for public consumption. I honestly cannot figure out why they don't. I would think that Weber grills and accessory sales are much higher in the US than in Europe.
