My wife spotted these rib eyes at Costco last week. I swear, I can't get near the back side of that store without becoming fixated with the meats. These were on the smaller side, around 9 or 10 oz. each. Sided them up with planked russets and some simple grilled asparagus.
Earlier in the day I roasted these potatoes on my JJ. Cubed them up and added some butter.
Soaked a cedar plank. Mashed up the potatoes while adding milk. Then some sour cream, minced garlic and some fresh rosemary. Put the mixture on the plank and topped with cheddar and green onions.
Here's the steaks. I later rubbed them down with salt for about a 2 hour dry brine.
The potatoes took most of the time on this cook. Got them on first.
Potatoes getting there.
Got the steaks going on my new set of 10.5" circular GrillGrates that my wife gave me.
Threw on some asparagus, just oil, salt and pepper.
Steaks getting there.
A little indirect.
