I just discovered them today. Watched this video where they're making KFC Double Down Chicken Sandwich Grilled.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=FGeuT9ccQXU

Have some questions about the video:

1. Which kettle grill do they have?
2. Who makes their grates/griddle plates?
3. They don't go into details on their fire. Are the coals banked on one side or in the middle?
4. Do you think they put some pieces of wood on their coals for smoke?

Just talking out of my head without knowledge:

1. To me, it resembles an earlier generation Performer
2. I don't know but I actually don't see plates offered on their online store. What is shown in this particular video resembles--to me--a Craycort
3. At approximately 30 seconds he speaks of indirect, so the coals would be banked on one side of the grill. Here's the write-up: https://bbqpitboys.com/kfc-double-down-chicken-sandwich/
4. I have no idea

Thanks for the pointer to the write up. Yeah, I think you're right that it looks like Craycort grates.

I had thought that the coals were under the griddle but later in the video, I saw the flames on the grate side.
