Tri Tip grind

Tri Tip. A little lean, so I added bacon to the grind.

Grinding. Grinder was in the freezer overnight, meat was for 30 minutes.

10oz patty, perfect.

My secret weapon...a very light paint of Worcestershire sauce.

Did these on the Performer, outstanding! This is why I never buy commercial ground beef.

Mighty fine looking burgers, CiCO! I like to make up a batch of "burger grind" every couple of months or so. Nice to have my 24oz packages in the freezer ready to go!

Oh, and thanks for not overcooking that burger! :)

Great looking burger Chris. I've ground a few TT's for burger. Delicious and I'll bet yours were too. Nice combo with the bacon.

Blaspheme! Man you better keep a low profile if you ever come out West! much better cuts for grinding!

Blasphemy? Anybody who has experience grinding burgers know Tri Tip is at the top of the list, and Ive been grinding for decades. Ive done Tri Tip, Short Rib, Brisket, Chuck, Sirloin, Rib Eye, Round, Flat Iron (probably more), and blends, my fav being Short Rib and Brisket, and have found nothing better.
