Grilled Short Ribs with Scallion & Rice

RACHAEL RAY-I usually don't like to post a recipe unless we have tried it ourselves. But this one sounds so good, I thought I would share it in case someone wants to make it this week end. Hope you do and if you do, please let me know what you think of the recipe, ok?


Grilled Short Ribs with Scallion & Rice

1/4 cup soy sauce
2 TB honey
1 TB canola oil
1 TB grated peeled fresh ginger
2 tsp finely chopped garlic
1 tsp sesame oil
8 Flanken-style beef ribs (about 1 lb total)
12 scallions
2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
steamed rice, for serving

In bowl, mix first 6 ingredients. Add ribs; turn until coated. Heat grill or grill pan over high. Cook ribs and scallions, turning often, until ribs are cooked through, about 5 minutes. Transfer to platter. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with rice. Serves 4

Well, after 1 1/2 years, finally got around to making this recipe. DH cut the recipe in half and cooked them 5 minutes on BOTH sides. He gave them an "excellent" rating, I thought they were just "good".
