I have a Weber Genisis and two kettle grills. I picked up a lowes brand gas and charcoal split grill and attached a side box. I've struggled using that cheap grill. I used to monitor it all day. In just smoked a chicken last week.
For Father's day, I picked up the 18 inch weber smokey mountain. I really struggled between the 18 and 22 because i host 20 Scout Directors from a near by boy scout camp - Trexler. They go out on Wednesday nights and have been coming to my house for the past couple of years. My son is a director (and an Eagle Scout) and these guys can pack it away.
It's now sitting in my garage because it's raining out. Hopefully I'll assemble it tomorrow. I picked up a bag of Hickory and Pecan. Looking forward to smoking Thursday or Friday. I have to master the grill as the scouts are coming over in three weeks.
I can't wait.
