probes

I'm just about to pull the trigger on a stoker system, been reading a lot here.

My one question/concern is this: The probes are proprietary from what I've read b/c of the chipset to uniquely identify them. Does anyone else make these or is it only from Rock? I guess I'm concerned about the ability to purchase probes in the future???

The parts are off-the-shelf so if the worst happened, someone could still make them.

For now, just get an extra one or two. As I post in parallel thread, it is nice to have three of them anyway.

Rock recomended to me to get extra food probes as they can be used as food or pit probes as well.
