Genesis redhead in AZ

Made a trip to the local St. Vincent to drop off a donation, and saw this in the yard. Genesis redhead, looks like a 2000, durawood side tables, stainless grates, non-stainless flavorizer bars. How hard is it to switch it from natural gas to propane? Might bring it home. It's marked $40, but as I was looking at it an employee walked by and said I could take it home for $25.

Nice find! Easiest way to switch is to change the manifold. If you can find another Genesis 1000 LP then you should be good to go!

That's a solid buy for $25.

I'm sure you can find someone here with a propane manifold.

Technically, you should also grab the tank bracket if you would like to hang the propane tank on the grill, but you don't have to hang it.

Much thanks for all the offers of support. I brought it home. I'll post an update when I start working on it.

Chiming in late, but that is a very nice late edition 2x00 that I believe has plenty of potential to really look great! Great buy! We look forward to seeing what you do with it. Sounds like getting an LP manifold shouldn’t be a problem.
