Selling on Facebook Marketplace ?

I don't do Facebook but my wife has an account. I'm trying to sell my 22 WSM and using my wife's account. Neither one of us have used Facebook Marketplace . How will a buyer respond ?

What the heck has happened on Craigslist ?? Im getting responses wanting me to send an email. All they're doing is collecting email addresses to sell to spammers.

Craigslist was always sleasy, but dayuumm .

I hope you got it nice and shiny, and listed it about
$250 to $300

I've listed it at $250, probably should raise my price because its like new.

My wife put some of my son's clothes on facebook marketplace. They were nice clothes barely worn and she was asking next to nothing. People would keep asking for more pictures or particular items and then after my wife jumped through those hoops they'd offer something insulting. At that point she's so annoyed she'd rather set the clothes on fire than sell them on general principal. We gave them to a relative.

At least with Facebook you can look at the person's profile and tell they aren't a complete loon.

I have had my share of kooks from all the different types of resale pages.
However, for whatever reason, used grill/smoker ads don't seem to draw
quite as many as ads for other household items that you may try to sell.
90-95% of my responese are from legitimate people looking to by whatever
grill or smoker I am selling and most are quite reasonable price wise as well.

Google it. They want your email apparently to take over your craigslist account and then start scamming people using your account. I'm not sure how all of that works but it seems to be a big deal now and you end up looking like a crook.

Yes, I bought my Old Country Brazos stick burner from Craiglist, was a great deal and great transaction.

I've also used Craigslist to source smoke wood.

Its already sold, I listed at $275, had an offer for 250 and took it.

That went fast and a lot better than Craigslist or Offer up.

Now, I go put that money into a 26 Kettle :)

About the Craigslist replies asking to send an email, I responded to the first one I received, it was something to the effect of a deaf person is interested in the smoker and they're replying for them. After that one, I wised up and realized it was phishing for email addies. But this is the reply I got, the name on the reply is in Arabic.

No harm done, I used an email account I created especially for when it might be sold to spammers, not the email used to create the Craigslist account.

Sounds almost like the same guy I dealt with. He doesn't want you to have time to think about it.
