Good day folks, new to this forum but everything I google regarding Weber grills seems to point here, so why not join up?

I've been dealing with a charbroil "tru-infrared" (HA) for the past 7 years and it has finally succumbed to the rust monster, so I was given the go-ahead to start looking for a replacement. I'll create a new post in the appropriate forum to discuss plans for restoration but I lucked across a free to a good home older model Weber LP grill. I was absolutely floored by the weight of that lid, porcelain lined?

I have a vast number of questions, and have been reading many of the restoration threads on here, quite a few remarkable rebuilds.

Also assuming there are some limitations to new users being able to post photos etc, to avoid dealing with the ever-present issue of spam-bots/etc?

Oh cool, that worked. Sweet. Now to start drafting up a fix-it-up post for my project.
