What is this grill worth?

I went to an estate sale this morning and they had a 3 burner Weber grill with grey wood slats and swing up table on the left side. Has the deep firebox with 13 bars and kind of cheap grates. Bottom shelf is also grey wood slats. Looking under the right side, the controls look great, but I couldn't locate a serial number on this NG grill. Any ideas? I can't post photos. It also had two whitewall Weber tires on the right side and casters on the left. No rust that I could see, but thing looked as if it never had been cleaned. The price was outrageous and probably will be there tomorrow if I go back. If the price is right is this worth flipping after cleaning and probably replacing the grates or worst case the burner tubes?

Sounds like it's a Genesis 1000 LX or 1100 with durawood. Those can be found for free at the cheapest. I'd say it's probably worth up to $50 from how you described it? Maybe others can chime in.

Is it something like this...?

Natural gas may take a while longer to sell because not everyone has a NG line at their home.

Yah, when I rehab or flip I usually change the grates and bars with stainless because most of the time they're rusted and ready to be replaced. You can find cheap stainless replacements here and there on Amazon. As far as the burners I clean them up first and test them out...if they're still good then I'll keep them with the grill, if not then I'd buy cheap aftermarket ones.

I personally would not spend more than $20 to $25 on this grill. It takes some time to clean and even cheap replacement parts (grates, flavorizer bars, igniter) can easily add up to $75-$100 depending which ones you choose. I my area a very good restored one would not bring more than $200. And that is on a good day.

I agree with everyone above. That grill shouldn't cost more than $50 unless the grates, flavorizer bars and burners are all in great shape and it is relatively clean. But, if you have to replace anything, then $50 max.

Thanks to all with input on this. These Estate sellers work on percentages and some price things way too high. They see Weber and they jack the price. I asked when I was there about the price and they said "It's a Weber!" They didn't want to hear it that is was at least 13 years old since my 2007 Genesis is a totally different design. He tried to tell me that it was newer than that. No rust on it, but for starts would need to get the lid and firebox steam cleaned just to get the build up off of it. I said good luck with that price. Maybe, I'll be back tomorrow afternoon to see if you still have it. Another estate sale today had a 2 burner model with only 5 bars, no wood, missing casters so it tilted, and improvised wire racks for a bottom shelf. Same deal: "It's a Weber". Wanted $75 It had been beat badly. Best looking thing on it was the lid handle which didn't look too.

Naw.... I restored my 2007 NG Genesis and added a sideburner making an E-320. I was intrigued by the 13 bar models. I restored a E-320 LP like mine for my son at Christmas. That one has dark green doors and lid. Paid $100 and put about $65 into it for a new cover, warming tray and push button for the igniter. It turned out to be the training ground for rehabing my own grill. Only thing I would want to add to mine if the chance came up would be the blue lid and doors. There is a guy selling a nice setup here for a 18" WSM with gaskets, cart, etc., but I keep telling myself I'm not going back to charcoal at age 68. Gas is just too easy. I've got a Smoke and a Smokemiester, so it gets me where I want to be with grilling or smoking. I also got a set of GrillGrates for Christmas, but I haven't tried them yet.

That is one purdy green 1000. I'm glad I don't live in vegas. I'd gamble that $80 away before I got to the grill.

Actually, no I wouldn't. There is a Sands casino a mile from me and I never go :)

I scored my maroon Genny 1200 for $20.00, needed flavorizer bars, igniter, new thermometer, scraping and painting. I got lucky.
My blueboy was way overpriced but, the lid is more rare. I spent more making it useable than I should have but it was my first project. Live and learn.
