Glad I found this place. My name is Mark and I have been smoking/barbecuing/grilling for better than 40 years. I live in Petaluma CA.

After reading a lot of reviews and having weberitis, I got a 22 WSM. Cooked ribs Friday Maybe 30 seconds after get it assembled.

I was more than pleasantly surprised when it held temp for 7 hours On 2 1/2 chimneys of charcoal (minion method) with almost no adjustment.

Read lots of posts here which took out a bunch of guesswork.

I wanted to express my appreciation to all, an amazing collection of knowledge.

It’s funny, started smoking with a little chief...then a Weber kettle...then an Chargriller offset...on to Smokin-it electric. Couple of years ago, just to see if I could still do it, I Bbq’d ribs on a Weber 22. It was just fun...so I did it again and again. That’s what led me to the WSM. I have pretty much come full circle. I have 4 kids and 4 grand kids (wife’s fault...hehe). 22 gives me the bigger size but it’s more work than my Smokin-it #3. Plan is to do smoked salt, fish, jerky, and the like in the SI and ribs, poultry, brisket, etc. on the WSM.

I am one happy camper...
