First Cook Advice?

I ordered a WSM 18.5 should be here Friday hope to cook some ribs. I have a lot of Royal Oak lump I want to use up. I want to pack the ring full and use the Minion method. With the temps in the 30's how much lump should be lit in the chimney to get 225-250 degree grate temp? 1/2 full? I plan on using hot water in the pan.

It isn't the cold so mush that will bother your temps. But wind will. Try to put it in a place sheltered from wind.
I agree 1/2 chimney should be fine
